DHAKA, July 24, 2025 (BSS)-Opener Shahibzada Farhan struck a brilliant 41
ball-63 as Pakistan posted a respectable 178-7 in the third and final T20
against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

Bangladesh are chasing a series sweep after securing a T20 series for the
first time against Pakistan following a seven-wicket and an eight-run victory
in the first two matches.

Farhan gave Pakistan top order a stability to keep the runs flowing unlike
the last two matches after Bangladesh put them into bat first.

Farhan who replaced Fakhar Zaman at the top of the batting order and Saim
Ayub put on 82 runs in the eighth over before left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed,
one of the five changes of Bangladesh struck.

Ayub made 21 off 15 with two fours and one six as skied a turning delivery.

Nasum who bowled his four overs in a row finished with 2-22 and got the
prized scalp of Farhan as he holed out one, trying for a slog sweep. His
innings studded with six fours and five sixes.

Farhan's departure left Pakistan at 93-2 in 12th over but the visitors
appeared set for a 200 plus total.

However, Bangladesh bowlers bowled well in the middle order to minimize the
damage with Taskin Ahmed leading the way with 3-38.

Taskin who was erratic in his first spell came back with a bang in the death
overs to thwart Pakistan's attempt to take the total past 200.

He removed Mohammad Haris for 5 before taking the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz,
who threatened to take the game away with attacking batting. Nawaz made 27
off 16.

His fellow pacer Shoriful Islam also played his part well to dismiss Hasan
Nawaz for 17 ball-33.
