DHAKA, Nov 30, 2024 (BSS)- Abahani Limited Dhaka got off to winning start in 
the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football beating 
Fakirerpool Young Men's Club by 2-0 goals held at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in 
Gazipur on Saturday.

In the proceeding, midfielder Enamul Islam Gazi and forward Jafar Iqbal 
scored one each for Abahani. The match was locked goalless at the breather.

Gazi finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Abahani Limited in 
the 71st minute while Jafar sealed the victory scoring the second goal for 
Abahani in the 90+3rd minute of the match. 

The sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani will play their next match against 
Dhaka Wanderers Club on December 7 at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in 
Cumilla while Fakirerpool Young Men's Club will face Bangladesh Police 
Football Club on the same day at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
