DHAKA, March 11, 2024 (BSS)- Sunnydale retained both men's and women's section titles of the Everest Pharma Mini School Handball tournament (boys' and girls') that concluded today (Monday) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city, said a press release.
In the boys' section final, Sunnydale beat Ideal School, Motijheel by 10-2 goals while in the girls' section final, Sunnydale defeated Viqarunnisa 

Noon School & College by 3-2 goals.

Besides, Model Academy of boys' section and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College of girls' section finished third position after beating South Points School by 3-2 goals and BAF Shaheen College by 6-0 goals respectively in the place-deciding matches also held at the same venue. 

Bangladesh Olympic Association's Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza was the chief guest in the final and handed over the prizes.
Everest Pharmaceutical Limited's managing director M Zakir Hossain was present there as the special guest.

Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor presided over the prize distribution ceremony. 

A total of 28 school teams -- 16 of boys' and 12 of girls' - took part in the meet, sponsored by Everest Pharmaceutical Limited and organized by BHF.

The participating boys' school teams - Sunnydale, Saint Gregory High School & College, Narida Govt. High School, Model Academy, Khaled Haider Memorial Academy, South Bridge School, Wills Little Flowers School, Motijheel Govt. Boys High School, Dhanmondi Tutorial, BAF Shaheen College, Ideal School & College, Kadomtota Purbo Basabo School & College, South Point School & College, Ideal School and College, Mugda, Cambrian School & College and Nirjhor Cantonment Public School and College.
Girls' school teams - Sunnydale, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College, South Bridge School, Sher Bangla Girls High School, Wills Little Flowers School, BAF Shaheen School, Ideal School & College, Motijheel, Ideal School & College Banasree, Kadomtota Purbo Basabo School & College, Cambrian School and College & Nirjhor Cantonment Public School & College.
