Bangladesh go down 2-3 to Kyrgyzstan U-23 team

  DHAKA, Sept 9, 2021 (BSS) - Despite taking lead early, Bangladesh finished the Kyrgyzstan tour with losing note as they suffered a 2-3 goal defeat to host Kyrgyzstan U-23 team in the international friendly match held today at Dolen Omuzakov Stadium in Bishkek.

  In the proceeding, Zhanybek, Borubaev and Alygulov scored one goal each for Kyrgyzstan U-23 team while Suman Reza struck twice for Bangladesh, after Bangladesh trailed the first half by 1-2 goals.

  Sumon put Bangladesh ahead early in the 11th minute while Zhanybek restored the parity for the host team in the 24th minute of the match.

  Kyrgyzstan took the lead when Borubaev scored the second goal in the 28th minute while after the breather Alygulov further widened the Kyrgyzstan U-23 team's margin scoring the third goal in the 58th minute of the match.

  Sumon reduced the margin scoring his second goal in the 64th minute of the match.

  Bangladesh however tried heart and soul to stage a fight back creating some scoring chances, but they failed to convert any lack of proper finishing in the remaining proceeding.

  Earlier, Bangladesh made a losing start in the three nations cup tournament as they went down a 0-2 goal defeat to upper ranked Palestine and suffered a 1-4 goal defeat to host Kyrgyzstan national football team in the second match.
