DHAKA, Sept 5, 2023 (BSS) - Sunnydale clinched the boys' section title while Viqarunnisa Noon School and College retained the girls' section title in the Polar Ice Cream 28th National School Handball (Boys' & Girls') tournament that concluded today (Tuesday).

Held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium, Sunnydale beat Saint Gregory High School and College by 26-19 goals in the boy's section final match after leading the first half by 13-7 goals.

While Viqarunnisa Noon School and College defeated Sunnydale by 13-11 goals in the girls' section final match after dominating the first half by 7-5 goals.

Earlier, Narinda Govt. High School finished third position after beating Scholastica Uttara by 24-19 goals in the boy's section place-deciding match after leading the first half by 10-9 goals while Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College finished third in the girls' section place-deciding match after beating Scholastica Uttara by 18-9 goals after dominating the first half by 8-2 goals.

Bangladesh Olympic Association's secretary general Syed Shaed Reza was the chief guest and distributed the prizes after the final matches.
