DHAKA, July 19, 2023 (BSS)- Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Warsia Khusbu won 
the gold medal in the girls under-11 group of Asian School Chess 
Championships that concluded today (Wednesday) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

WCM Warsia Khusbu scored seven points in nine games to tie with Abylaykyzy 
Bibisara of Kazakhstan. WCM Warsia Khusbu won the gold medal in a tie-
breaking system.

In the ninth or final round of games, WCM Warsia Khusbu split point with 
Xikmatkhonova Mokhinur of Uzbekistan. 

A total of twenty two players from India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, 
Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan 
participated in this event. 

WCM Warsia Khusbu got gold, Kazakhstan's Abylaykyzy Bibisara of Kazakhstan 
secured silver and Tursunalieva Nurelina bagged the bronze medal in girls U-
11 category.
