GM Razib, WFM Anjum left Kazakhstan
DHAKA, June 2, 2023 (BSS) - GM Enamul Hossain Razib and WFM Noshin Anjum left here today (Friday) for Almaty, Kazakhstan to take part in the Asian Continental Chess Championships open and women's chess.
IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman will join with them in Almaty tomorrow (Saturday) from Vietnam to participate in the championship which begins from tomorrow (Saturday) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Bangladesh national champion GM Enamul Hossain Razib, national runner-up IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman and national woman champion WFM Noshin Anjum will participate in the event.
The blitz chess event will be held on the first day of the championship while the main event begins from Sunday (June 4).
GM Enamul Hossain Razib and WFM Noshin Anjum left Dhaka for Almaty today (Friday) morning to take part in the championship while IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman will join them in Almaty tomorrow (Saturday) from Vietnam.
The top four players in the open division will get a chance to participate in the FIDE World Cup-2023 and the top two players in the women's division will be eligible to participate in the FIDE Women's World Cup 2023.
In this event, a total of USD 100,000 will be awarded in both categories as prize money.
