DHAKA, May 17, 2023 (BSS) - Bangladesh have been drawn in group B along with Lebanon in the upcoming SAFF Championship, scheduled to be held from June 21 to July 4 in Bengaluru, India.

Bangladesh also found themselves two-time champions Maldives and Bhutan in this group following draw of the championship held today (Wednesday) in New Delhi, India.

Meanwhile, Group A comprised host India, debutant Kuwait, Nepal, and the tournament's lowest-ranked team Pakistan.

After the round-robin league matches, top two teams from each group will play the semifinals.

As the host nation, India were given a direct entry to Group A before debutant tournament highest ranking Lebanon were pitted in Group B.

On the basis of FIFA ranking, then rest of the six teams were kept in different three pots to finalise groups by lotteries.
