DHAKA, May 16, 2023 (BSS)- Jotymoy Mondal of the Daily Jugantor won triple crowns in all three events of men's athletics in the ongoing Walton Smart Fridge Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sports Festival held today (Tuesday) at outer stadium in the city's Paltan.

He emerged champion in the 100m for the third consecutive time and won 200m race. He also emerged top in the men's shot put event covering the distance of 12.32m.

In the women's event, Shanaj Sharmin of Nagorik TV won the 100m sprint. Rozina Rozi of Somoy Television and Shamsunnahar Binu of Bangladesh Television finished at second and third position respectively in this event.
 
Earlier, Bangladesh Athletics Federation's general secretary Abdur Rokib Montu formally inaugurated the athletics event as the chief guest.

DRU president Morsalin Nomani, its general secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel and sports secretary Mahbubur Rahman, among others, were present in the opening ceremony.
