DHAKA, May 16, 2023 (BSS)- Maldives U-17 or youth and U-19 or junior handball teams finished at third position in the Bangabandhu IHF Challenge Trophy Women's (youth and junior) beating their respective Nepalese rivals in the place-deciding encounters held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city on Tuesday.

Maldives U-17 youth team beat Nepal U-17 youth team by 41-10 goals in the first match of the day after leading the first half by 19-03 goals.

While Maldives maintained dominance in the other match of the day as the U-19 junior women's team defeated their Nepalese counterpart by 22-05 goals after dominating the first half by 11-01 goals.

Wednesday's finals schedule:
