CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, March 28, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Heavy rain in Christchurch delayed the start of the second one-day international between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
There was only a slim chance of play as steady rainfall kept the covers on the wicket at Hagley Oval, with high winds and more showers forecast.
New Zealand lead the three-match series 1-0 after romping to a 198-run win in the opening game at Auckland's Eden Park on Saturday.
Sri Lanka have so far lost all three tour games in New Zealand, including a 2-0 whitewash in the Test series.
