DHAKA, March 18, 2023(BSS)- Russian U-17 eve football team arrived today (Saturday) in Dhaka to take part in the 5th edition of SAFF U-15 Women's Championship scheduled to be held from March 20-28 at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.

Russia is set to feature in the tournament for the first time as a guest nation, following suspension by UEFA.

Russia will start their tournament campaign taking on host Bangladesh on March 22.

Five teams -- host Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Russia U-17 women's national football teams -- will participate in the round robin league format.

Nepal is the defending champions having won the previous 2022 edition title.
