Youth Games: Inter-district phase continue on day 4

DHAKA, Jan 19, 2023 (BSS) - The inter-district phase of Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games 2023', organized by the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA), continued on the fourth day (Thursday) at different districts across the country.

In Chattogram divisional phase, Feni and Rangamati district emerged champions in the man's and woman's football events respectively held at Bhasha Shaheed Abdus Salam Stadium in Feni.
 
Feni district team beat Chandpur district team by 3-0 goals to emerge champions in the men's football while Chandpur district team defeated Chattogram district team by 2-0 goals to emege champions in the women's football also held at the same venue.

Government Department's deputy director Golam Mohammad Baten was the chief guest and distributed the prizes after the matches.

Feni's additional superintendent of police (headquarters circle) Thoai Angpru Marma was present as the special guest in the prize distribution ceremony, presided by Feni District Sports Association's (DSA) vice-president KBM Jahangir Alam. Feni DSA's general secretary Amir Hossain Bahar gave the welcome speech on the occasion.

Inter-district swimming was held in Sylhet division. Saurabh Ahmed of Sunamganj emerged first in the men's 50m freestyle event while Mizanur Rahman of Habiganj finished second position held at Sylhet Police Lines. 

Sourav Ahmed Prothom of Sunamganj emerged top in the 100 meters free style while Tawhid Hossain finished second position. Mizanur Rahman of Habiganj emerged first in the 200m freestyle while Antu Das of Sunamganj finished second position.

Shahidul Islam of Habiganj emerged first in the 50m backstroke while Azizur Rahman of Sunamganj finished second position. Ashraf Hossain Riad of Moulvibazar emerged first in 100m backstroke while Azizur Rahman of Sunamganj finished second position.

Shaon Chowdhury of Habiganj emerged first in the 50m breaststroke while Md. Manik Chowdhury finished second position. Manik Chowdhury of Habiganj emerged first in the 100m breaststroke while Anim Das finished second position. Shaon Chowdhury of Habiganj emerged first in the 50m butterfly while Tawhid Hossain of Sunamganj finished second position.

Ritu Rani De of Moulvibazar came first in the women's 50m freestyle event while Sadia Akhtar of Habiganj finished second position. Suma Akter of Habiganj emerge first in 100m freestyle while Suma Begum of Moulvibazar finished second position. Ritu Rani De of Moulvibazar emerged first in 200m freestyle while Jannatara Lima of Sunamganj finished second position.

 Purnima Akhter Shapla of Habiganj emerged first in the 50m backstroke while Suma Begum of Moulvibazar finished second position. Rana Begum of Sunamganj emerged first in 100m back stroke while Tuli Dev of Moulvibazar finished second position. Purnima Akhtar Shapla of Habiganj emerged first 50m breaststroke while Borna Akhtar finished second position.

 Suma Akhter of Habiganj became first in 100m breast stroke while Sadia Akhtar finished second position. Purnima Akter Shapla of Habiganj emerged first in 50m butterfly while Ritu Rani De of Moulvibazar finished second position.

Swimming and athletics events were held in Rajshahi district. Parvez of Rajshahi emerged first in the men's 50m freestyle swimming event while Siyam Magferat of Bogura finished second position.

 Raihan of Bogura emerged first in 100m freestyle while Hridoy of Rajshahi finished second position. Rabbi Ramgfirat of Bogura emerged first in the 200m freestyle while Rohan of Rajshahi finished second position. Rabbi Rahman of Bogura emerged first in 50m back stroke while Naimul Islam of Pabna finished second position.

 Siam Magferat of Bogura emerged first in 100m backstroke while Parvez of Rajshahi finished second position. Raihan of Bogura emerged first in 50m breaststroke while Parvez of Rajshahi finished second position. 

Raihan of Bogura emerged first in 100m breaststroke while Ashiq of Pabna finished second position. Rabib Rahman of Bogura emerged first in the 50m butterfly while Hridoy of Rajshahi finished second position.

Malti Khatun Sathi of Bogura emerged first in the women's 50m freestyle event while Rabisha Akhtar finished second position. Ramisa Akhtar Jui of Bogura emerged first in 100m freestyle while Asma Khatun of Rajshahi finished second position.

 Malti Khatun Sathi of Bogura emerged first in 200m freestyle while Yasmin of Rajshahi finished second position. 

Bogra's Israt Jahan Borsha and Ramisa Akhter Jui became second in 50m back stroke. Israt Jahan Varsha of Bogra emerged top in 100m back stroke while Yasmin of Rajshahi finished second position.

Bogura's Israt Jahan Barsha emerged top in 50m breaststroke while her compatriot Malti Khatun Sathi finished second position. Rajshahi's Mithila Akhter Mitu emerged first in the 100m breaststroke while Bogra's Mehzabeen finished second position. Bogra's Ramisa Akhtar Jui emerged top in the in 50m butterfly while Israt Jahan Barsha finished second position.

In athletics, Jaipurhat's Kafi emerged first in the men's 100m sprint while and Pabna's Jeesan Sen finished second position. Jisan Sen of Pabna emerged top in the 200m sprint while Arif Billah of Natore finished second position. Mominul Hossain of Rajshahi emerged first in 400m race while Prashant Sarkar of Pabna finished second position.

 Md. Mominul Hossain of Rajshahi emerged first in the 800m race while Rajshahi's Nazim Faisal Shadoy finished second position. Rifat of Bogura emerged top inte in 1500m race while Nazim Faisal Shadoy of Rajshahi finished second position. Sifat Hossain of Pabna emerged top in long jump while Md. Habibur Rahman of Rajshahi finished second position.

 Ahsad Ullah of Pabna emerged first in shot put while Judishti of Joypurhat finished second position. Sifat Hossain of Pabna emerged top in high jump while Md. Omar Ali of Bogura finished second position.

In Khulna division, Narail district won the men's volleyball title while Satkhira district secured the women's volleyball title. Narail defeated Kushtia by 2-1 sets in the men's volleyball while Satkhira defeated Jessore by 2-1 sets in the women's volleyball held at Narail Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Stadium.

Mymensingh division's athletics competition was held at local circuit house ground. A total of 128 men and women athletes from Mymensingh, Sherpur, Jamalpur and Netrokona districts participated in the games.

 Jamalpur's Aslam Sikder emerged first in the 1500m race while Sherpur's Hridoy Mia finished second position. Jhuma Aktar of Netrokona emerged first in the women's event while Surbana of Sherpur finished second position.

Sefali of Mymensingh emerged first first in the women's event while and Munni Akhtar of Jamalpur finished second position. Hafizur Rahman of Netrokona emerged first in the men's 400m race while Jamil Ahmed of Sherpur came second position.

 Himu Akhtar of Sherpur emerged first in the women's event while Munni Akhtar of Jamalpur finished second position. Hafizur Rahman of Netrokona emerged first in the men's 200m sprint event while Al Amin of Jamalpur finished second position.

 Swapna Akhtar of Mymensingh emerged first in the women's event while Sumaiya Akhtar of Netrokona finished second position.

Delwar Hossain of Sherpur emerged first in the men's 100m sprint while Al Amin of Jamalpur finished second position. Swapna Akter of Mymensingh emerged first in the women's event while Sephali of Mymensingh finished second position. 

Yusuf Ali of Jamalpur emerged first in men's long jump event while Hafizur Rahman of Netrokona finished second position. Swapna Akhtar of Mymensingh emerged first in the women's event while Saida Akhter of Mymensingh finished second position. Aakash Mia of Sherpur emerged first in the men's high jump event while Yusuf Ali of Jamalpur finished second position.

Sufla Khatun of Mymensingh emerged first in the women's event while Sephali of Mymensingh finished second position. Mehdi of Mymensingh emerged top in men's shot put event while Parvez of Jamalpur finished second position.

 Sufla Khatun of Mymensingh emerged top in the women's event while Sumaiya Akhter of Netrokona finished second position.


On the other hand, in Chattogram division, Feni district emerged top champions in the men's football while Rangamati district emerged champions in women's football. Feni District blanked Chandpur district by 3-0 goals in the men's football held at Bhasha Shaheed Abdus Salam Stadium in Feni while Rangamati district team beat Chattogram district by 2-0 goals in the women's football.
