DHAKA, Jan 18, 2023 (BSS)--Kool-BSJA media football, a tournament organised

by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) and sponsored by
Square Toiletries Limited, will kick off on January 21 at the artificial
turf, adjacent to the Bangladesh Football Federation Bhaban.

A total of 32 media houses, split into eight groups, will take part in the
tournament. The tournament will the group champion from each group moving to
the quarterfinal. The tournament will end on January 25 with two semifinals
and final.

The participating teams are: Baishakhi Television, Ekushey Television,
Janakantha. Desh Rupantar, Channel I, T-Sports, Daily Sun, Ekhon TV,
Jagonews24.com, GTV, Jugantor, Ajker Potrika, Independent TV, RTV, Dhaka
Post, Deepto TV, Daily Star, ATN Bangla, Bangladesh Protidin, BTV,
Banglavision, News24, Samakal, Kalbela, Dhaka Tribune, DBC, Kaler Kantha,
Banglanews24.com.

A press conference in this regard was held on Wednesday at the BOA auditorium
in the city. The jersey and trophy was unveiled during the press conference
and the grouping of the tournament was also held.

Organizers of the tournament informed that the champions will be awarded a
cash amount of Taka 30,000 while the runners-up will get Taka 15,000. Besides
there will be attractive prize for the best of the each match and the best of
the tournament. A team can include 10 players in this six-a-side tournament.

Square Toiletries Assistant Manager, Marketing Tehsina Khanam was present as
the chief guest. Also present were BSJA president ATM Sayeeduzzman, general
secretary Anisur Rahman, vice president and tournament committee convener
Raihan Al Mooghni, tournament committee member secretary Robiul Islam.

Tehsina Khanam however said the tournament will be more attractive as the
number of the team increased this time.

"Last time a total of 24 teams took part in the tournament, this time it is
expanded to 32 teams. Hopefully it will be more attractive this time around."
