GOPALGANJ, July 22, 2026 (BSS) - A childhood dream of becoming an agricultural entrepreneur has transformed into a thriving agribusiness for 
Hasib Hasan, a young farmer from Gopalganj whose premium-quality mangoes are now being supplied to customers across the country.

Hasib began his entrepreneurial journey in 2016 while studying for his bachelor's degree. With just two bighas of land gifted by his father, around 
150 mango saplings, and three cows, he took his first steps into commercial farming. Despite facing numerous challenges in the early years, his 
dedication, hard work, and perseverance enabled him to gradually expand his venture.

Today, his enterprise, Hazera Agro Farm, named after his mother, spans nearly 52 bighas of land in the border area between Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj 
and Lohagara upazila of Narail districts. About 40 bighas are dedicated to mango cultivation, while the remaining land is used for cattle farming.

Hasib, son of Abu Sayeed Mridha and Hazera Parveen of Jangalmukundapur village in Kashiani upazila, grows several popular mango varieties, including 
Amrapali, Himsagar, Langra, Bari-4, Gopalbhog, and Banana mangoes. Through modern orchard management and safe agricultural practices, he has 
consistently achieved good yields and high-quality fruit.

The superior taste and quality of the mangoes have created strong demand not only in local markets but also among customers across the country. Orders are 
regularly received online, allowing Hazera Agro Farm to deliver fresh mangoes nationwide.

Hasib said he has sold mangoes worth around Taka 500,000, so far, this season, while Bari-4 and Ashwina varieties are still being harvested from the 
orchard.

Apart from commercial production, the farm has also emerged as an attractive agro-tourism destination. Visitors are welcome to tour the orchard, pick 
mangoes directly from the trees, enjoy the fruit on-site, and purchase fresh produce. Families visit the farm daily to spend time in the natural 
surroundings, take photographs and videos, and experience harvesting ripe mangoes themselves.

The combination of safe food production and rural tourism has made Hazera Agro Farm a notable example of modern agricultural entrepreneurship, 
inspiring many young people to consider farming as a viable career.

Visitor Gias Uddin from Hoglakandi village in Maheshpur Union said he enjoyed the opportunity to pick mangoes directly from the trees.

"The mangoes are beautiful and delicious. Spending time here with family, taking pictures, and buying fresh mangoes straight from the orchard is a 
wonderful experience. We really like the natural environment and visit whenever we get the chance," he said.

Farm worker Faruk Hossain said he has been working at the farm for several years, caring for the mango trees, harvesting fruit, and performing other 
orchard management tasks.

"Hasib Bhai personally supervises the farm and always encourages us. Working here has given us employment and helped us learn modern agricultural 
practices. It is rewarding to see customers from different parts of the country coming to buy mangoes," he said.

Speaking to BSS, Hasib said his passion for agriculture dates back to his childhood.

"I started with only two bighas of land, 150 mango saplings, and three cows in 2016. The journey was not easy, but my love for farming, hard work, and 
patience kept me moving forward. Today, my farm covers 52 bighas of land," he said.

He added that Hazera Agro Farm not only produces safe, high-quality mangoes but also offers visitors the opportunity to explore the orchard and pick 
fruit directly from the trees.

"Our mangoes are now reaching customers in different districts across the country, which is one of the greatest achievements of my life. In the future, 
I plan to further modernize and expand the farm and establish it as a model institution for safe agricultural production and agro-tourism," he added.

Kashiani Upazila Agriculture Officer Ejazul Karim praised the initiative, describing Hazera Agro Farm as a model of modern and planned agricultural 
entrepreneurship.

"Hasib Hasan has successfully integrated safe mango production with agro-tourism, which is highly commendable. Such initiatives ensure productive use 
of fallow land, create employment opportunities, and expand markets for agricultural products. Greater participation of young entrepreneurs in 
agriculture through safe farming practices and modern technologies will further strengthen the country's agricultural economy," the agriculture 
official added.
