DHAKA, Aug 22, 2026 (BSS) — A total of 85 people allegedly involved in various criminal activities have been arrested in separate operations conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in the Motijheel Division and Mirpur Model Police Station areas.

Of them, 52 were arrested during regular operations in different police station areas under the Motijheel Division. 

The arrests included 11 from Motijheel Police Station, four from Paltan Police Station, five from Sabujbagh Police Station, 10 from Khilgaon Police Station, one from Rampura Police Station, nine from Shahjahanpur Police Station and 12 from Mugda Police Station.

The arrests were made yesterday during regular drives in various areas under the division. 

Meanwhile, 33 people allegedly involved in different crimes were arrested during a special operation conducted by Mirpur Model Police Station.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested individuals.
