DHAKA, Aug 22, 2026 (BSS) – The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 56 people in separate anti-crime drives during the last 24 hours.
According to DMP’s media and public relations division press release issued here today, the arrests were made during raids carried out on August 21 in different areas under the division.
It said as part of the anti crime campaign, the DMP has been conducting regular operations in different police station areas to maintain law and order and control crime in the city.
The release said that of the arrested, eight were by the Tejgaon Police Station, five by the Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, 24 by the Mohammadpur, four by the Adabar, seven by the Tejgaon Industial and 10 by the Hatirjheel police station areas.
Police produced them before the court after completing legal proceedings, it said.
