RAJSHAHI, Aug 22, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) today carried out a special cleanliness drive and fogger spraying operation in the Bhadra area of the metropolis.

At noon, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton inspected the fogger spraying operation in the Bhadra area of the city.

During the inspection, the RCC administrator spoke with residents of the slum area adjacent to the Bhadra railway line and inquired about their well-being.

He said they are working relentlessly to build a clean city and ensure civic services in line with the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

As part of preparations to prevent dengue, various initiatives have been taken, including special cleanliness drives and spraying operations.

Calling upon city dwellers, the RCC administrator said although dengue is a serious mosquito-borne disease, it is possible to prevent it through awareness and collective efforts.

"So, let's keep our own premises and surroundings clean to build a dengue-free Rajshahi city," he added.

RCC Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Md Mamun, Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Selim Reza Ranju and other officials of the conservancy department were present.
