DHAKA, Aug 21, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 54 people in separate anti-crime drives during the last 24 hours.

According to DMP's media and public relations division press release issued here today, saying that the arrests were made during raids carried out on August 20 in different areas under the division.

It said as part of the anti crime campaign, the DMP has been conducting regular operations in different police station areas to maintain law and order and control crime in the city.

The release said that of the arrested, eight were by the Motijheel Police Station, four by the Paltan, eight by the Sabujbagh, six by the Khilgaon, 11 by the Rampura, six by the Shahjahanpur and 11 by the Mugda police station areas.

Police produced them before the court after taking legal proceedings, it said.
