DHAKA, Aug 19, 2026 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today granted three days’ remand each for 15 accused arrested in a case for allegedly planning sabotage and terrorist activities in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area marking August 15.

The accused are: Motalib, Mehjabin Akter Mala, Rubel, GK Masud, Ontor Miah, Ramjan, Mamun, Mithu alias Amir Hossain, Abdur Rahman alias Abdullah, Sumon Miah, Arif Miah, Mostak Miah, Sayem Hossain, Jahid Hasan and Shahin Hossain Emon.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kamal Uddin passed the order this afternoon.

Earlier, on the night of August 13, police arrested 52 people during a raid on a second-floor flat of a house on Road No 28 in M-Block of Bashundhara Residential Area under Bhatara Police Station.

The following day, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam sent them to jail.

Meanwhile, the investigating officer of the case sought seven days’ remand for 15 of them for proper investigation into the case. The court had fixed today for the hearing on the remand plea.
