DHAKA, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) arrested 59 people in separate anti-crime drives yesterday.
According to the DMP's media and public relations division press release
issued here today, saying that the arrests were made during raids carried out
on August 14 in different areas under the division.
DMP has been conducting regular operations in different police station areas
to maintain law and order and control crime in the capital, it said.
Of the arrested, nine were by the Motijheel Police Station, 12 by the Paltan,
five by the Sabujbagh, five by the Khilgaon, nine by the Rampura, nine by the
Shahjahanpur and 10 by the Mugda police station areas, according to the
release.
Police produced them before the court after taking legal procedures, it
added.
