DHAKA, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Tejgaon Division arrested 79 people during a 24-hour special drive targeting various crimes in crime-prone areas.

The arrests were made by Tejgaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Mohammadpur, Adabor, Tejgaon Industrial Area and Hatirjheel police stations, according to a press release. 

Among those arrested, 9 were from Tejgaon, 7 from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 33 from Mohammadpur, 8 from Adabor, 9 from Tejgaon Industrial Area and 13 from Hatirjheel.

The arrestees were subsequently sent to court.
