DHAKA, Aug 14, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 25 individuals during a special operation conducted in the Mirpur Model police station area of the capital today.

The arrestees were wanted in connection with outstanding arrest warrants and regular cases, said a DMP press release.

The arrestees were identified as Alif Hasan, 19; Md Rohit, 19; Md Nirab Hossain, 18; Naeem Khan, 31; Md Tamim Iqbal, 21; Abu Huraira, 28; Md Mozammel Hossain, 41; Sabbir Pathan, 20; Md Shawon, 20; Inan Hasan Tanay, 20; Mahfuz, 29; Md Ishad, 19; Md Russell Sheikh, 20; Md Halim Mahmud, 34; Md Saddam Hossain, 37; Md Jewel, 27; Md A Rahim, 27; Md Sagar, 24; Naeem Khan, 26; Fahim Nur Nishat, 20; Md Milon, 28; Md Joynal, 28; Md Shanto, 32; Sheikh Rohan Fardin, 19; and Daniel Mondal, 28.

Legal proceedings are underway against the arrested individuals, the release added.

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area.
