DHAKA, Aug 14, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 71 people in separate anti-crime drives yesterday.

According to DMP's media and public relations division press release issued here today, saying that the arrests were made during raids carried out on August 13 in different areas under the division.

It said the DMP has been conducting regular operations in different police station areas to maintain law and order and control crime in the capital.

The release said that of the arrested, four were by the Motijheel Police Station, six by the Paltan, four by the Sabujbagh, 15 by the Khilgaon, seven by the Rampura, 17 by the Shahjahanpur and 18 by the Mugda police station areas.

Legal proceedings against the arrestees are underway, it said.
