DHAKA, Aug 13, 2026 (BSS) - A special workshop on existing and emerging employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in Greece, safe migration and challenges in accessing the labour market was held at the Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) office today.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Greece Nahida Rahman Shumona, BOESL Managing Director Mohammad Rashedul Haque and senior officials highlighted various aspects of the Greek labour market at the workshop.

Ambassador Nahida stressed expanding employment opportunities, ensuring legal and safe migration and simplifying the visa process. 

She also emphasised addressing language and skills gaps, preventing irregular migration and overcoming institutional challenges.

She put forward strategic recommendations to ensure transparency in the migration process and protect the interests of Bangladeshi workers. 

She also discussed potential employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in Malta and Albania.
