DHAKA, Aug 13, 2026 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,818 cases against traffic law violators in the capital over the past 24 hours.

The DMP said in a press release issued here today that a total of 639 vehicles were dumped and 312 vehicles were towed during enforcement drives conducted on Wednesday (August 12) in different areas of the capital.

According to the DMP Media and Public Relations Division, the Ramna Division filed 145 cases, Lalbagh Division 172, Motijheel Division 276, Wari Division 180, Tejgaon Division 198, Mirpur Division 404, Uttara Division 237 and Gulshan Division 206.

The DMP said its traffic enforcement drives would continue across the capital to ensure traffic discipline.
