DHAKA, Aug 12, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 42 people in separate special drives in the capital’s Paltan and Hazaribagh areas over the past 24 hours.
 
According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, police arrested 24 people from different parts of Paltan and 18 others from Hazaribagh during the operations.
 
The arrests include regular offenders, people wanted in cases and others allegedly involved in various criminal activities.
 
Legal proceedings against the detainees are under way, police said.
