DHAKA, Aug 12, 2026 (BSS) - The government today transferred two Deputy 
Inspectors General (DIGs) to Rangpur and Barishal districts.

The Home Affairs Ministry today issued a transfer order here saying that 
Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Mohammad Abdul Mabud has been 
transferred to Rangpur district as DIG while DIG of Industrial Police Md 
Zulfikar Ali Haider to Barishal district as DIG.

In the notification, Supernumerary Additional DIGs Jerin Khan, Md Jahangir 
Alam and Mohammad Ehsan Sattar have been transferred to different units of 
Bangladesh Police as Superintendents of Police (SPs).

Besides, another notification issued here today transferring three ADDL-DIGs 
and a Supernumerary Additional DIG to various units including Range DIG 
office, Barishal, Bangladesh Police Academy, Sarda, Special Branch (SB) and 
Highway Police.

The notifications said that the orders issued for the public interest will 
come to effect immediately.
