DHAKA, Aug 12, 2026 (BSS) - The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two drug dealers with 3,000 yaba tablets in the city's Jatrabari area.

The arrestees were identified as Jamal Uddin, 39, and Md Shaheen Alam, 38, according to a DMP media and public relations division's press release issued here today.

It said a team of the CTTC conducted a raid at Sayedabad bus terminal area around 12:45 am today and arrested the duo with the yaba tablets.

The release said filing a case against them is underway with Jatrabari Police Station in this connection.

The DMP said that such anti-drug drives will continue in the city to curb drug smuggling.
