Rajshahi Range police hold monthly crime review meeting

RAJSHAHI, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS) - A monthly crime review meeting for July was held at the Padma Conference Room of the Rajshahi Range DIG Office today, with senior police officials from all districts and units under the range attending.

Rajshahi Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ashik Sayeed chaired the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation, crime trends in July, progress in investigating and resolving important and sensational cases, and anti-narcotics operations.

The execution of arrest warrants, recovery of illegal firearms and progress in other key policing activities were also discussed.

The DIG directed officers to work more responsibly and in close coordination to maintain a stable law and order situation across the range.

He stressed strengthening crime prevention and anti-narcotics operations, taking effective measures against cybercrime, speeding up the execution of arrest warrants, recovering illegal firearms and ensuring prompt and proper investigation of important cases.

Police officers and members who achieved notable success in case detection, narcotics recovery, execution of arrest warrants and recovery of illegal firearms through special operations in June and July were also honoured at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the Commandant (Additional DIG) of RRF, Additional DIGs, superintendents of police of all districts under Rajshahi Range, and senior officials from the range office and its districts and units.
