DHAKA, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 76 people were arrested in separate drives conducted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Tejgaon and Motijheel areas for their alleged involvement in various offences.

Of them, 66 were arrested during a 24-hour drive by Tejgaon Division, according to a DMP press release. 

The arrests included seven from Tejgaon Police Station, five from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, 25 from Mohammadpur, 12 from Adabor, six from Tejgaon Industrial Area and 11 from Hatirjheel police stations.

Meanwhile, Motijheel Police arrested 10 people during a special operation conducted on Sunday in different crime-prone areas under the police station.

The arrestees were produced before the courts after necessary legal procedures.
