DHAKA, Aug 9, 2026 (BSS) - Shahjahanpur Police today recovered a pistol, a revolver and six rounds of ammunition from an abandoned condition in Dakshin Khilgaon area of the capital.

According to Shahjahanpur Police, the firearms and ammunition were recovered around 12:35am on Sunday following a tip-off.

Acting on the information, a police team conducted a search at a garbage dumping site beside the western side of the Jhilpar Public Toilet in Bagicha area of Dakshin Khilgaon under Shahjahanpur Police Station and recovered the weapons and ammunition abandoned there.

Police said legal proceedings in connection with the recovery are underway.
