DHAKA, August 9, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 21 people allegedly involved in various criminal activities during a special operation in the Shahjahanpur Police Station area of the capital on Saturday. 

The arrested individuals were identified as Dulu Mia, 34; Shaha Jamal, 40; Md Yasin, 30; Md Zafar, 30; Rocky, 26; Md Aidul Islam, 25; Md Sumon, 27; Md Nuru, 19; Mahin Chowdhury Tushar, 19; Zakir Hossain, 26; Md Sabbir, 22; Md Zahirul Islam, 38; Md Amir Hossain, 39; Hasan Margob Morshed, 38; Md Chan Badsha, 25; Md Musa, 25; Md Shanto, 25; Md Sakib Islam Shahed, 19; Md Sohel Molla, 28; Md Manjur Morshed; and Syed Azmail Hasib alias Samir, 18.

Police said the detainees include accused in regular criminal cases and individuals allegedly involved in various offences.

Shahjahanpur police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and ensure public safety in the area.

Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.
