DHAKA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today arrested 99 people in separate anti-crime drives conducted by its Tejgaon Division and Mirpur Model Police Station.

According to DMP, the Tejgaon Division arrested 56 suspects during raids in crime-prone areas over the past 24 hours. 

The detainees included suspects from Tejgaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Mohammadpur, Adabor, Tejgaon Industrial Area and Hatirjheel police station jurisdictions. 

In a separate operation, Mirpur Model Police Station arrested 43 people allegedly involved in various criminal activities. 

Police said the detainees include suspects wanted in regular cases and other offences. 

The DMP said such anti-crime drives will continue to maintain law and order in the capital.
