DHAKA, Aug 6, 2026, (BSS) - Students will be admitted to Class I in schools across the country through a lottery system from the 2027 academic year, as no admission tests will be held for first-grade enrolment, the Ministry of Education said today.

However, admission to all other classes at the primary and secondary levels will continue to be conducted through admission tests, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Education here.
