DHAKA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS) – Police conducted a special drive in the Jatrabari Police Station area yesterday and arrested 20 people for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

According to a press release issued here today by DMP, the detainees include suspects wanted in regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various other offences.

It said the arrested persons are Amit Karmakar; Rubel alias Habibur Rahman (42); Md Sani (27); Md Zakir Hossain (30); Md Badsha (20); Md Imran Hossain (37); Tasfia (20); Mahidul Islam (36); Laiju Begum (40); Mehedi (23); Rocky Hossain (35); Mahfuza Khatun (22); Md Sohan (21); Maruf (19); Abdul Ahad (23); Md Rashed (30); Md Shahin Molla alias Shamim (26); Md Rasel (26); Md Shahin (32) and Md Jasim (50).

The DMP release said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order in the area.
