RAJSHAHI, Aug 5, 2026 (BSS)- On the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day, a huge rally organized by Rajshahi City BNP unit was held today at Alupatti Crossing in Rajshahi city.
 
Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, was present and spoke as the chief guest at the rally.
 
The keynote speaker was Advocate Syed Shahin Showkat, Organizing Secretary (Rajshahi Division) of the BNP Central Executive Committee.
 
The rally was presided over by Mamun-or-Rashid, President of Rajshahi City BNP. It (rally) was conducted by Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation and General Secretary of Rajshahi City BNP.
 
Recalling the memories of the July mass uprising, Ainul Haque, father of Shaheed Sakib Anjum, spoke at the rally. In addition, the July fighters who were injured in the July mass uprising gave emotional speeches sharing their experiences.
 
The rally was attended by former convener of Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP and Administrator of Zila Parishad, Advocate Ershad Ali Isha, Senior Vice President of City BNP Nazrul Huda, Vice Presidents Aslam Sarkar, Oliul Haque Rana, Advocate Ali Ashraf Masum, Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, Shafiqul Islam Shafin and leaders of Metropolitan BNP and its affiliated organizations.
 
Also present at the rally were presidents/conveners, general secretaries/member secretaries of various Thana BNPs of Rajshahi Metropolitan, leaders of Ward BNP, and a large number of leaders and activists from all levels of BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations.
 
In the rally, the speakers paid deep respect to the martyrs of the July mass uprising, recalled the contributions of the injured, and called for working together to build a discrimination-free, democratic and prosperous Bangladesh.

They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls of July martyrs.

After the rally, a documentary show was screened on the fall of the fascist government and victory of students and mass people.
