DHAKA, Aug 3, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Waqf Administration under the Ministry of Religious Affairs has requested all concerned to refrain from the unlawful transfer of Waqf property.

The ministry, in a message today, said," Any unlawful transfer of immovable property dedicated as Waqf for the satisfaction of Almighty Allah-through sale, gift, mortgage, lease, transfer by partnership, exchange, or by granting a lease for a period exceeding five years-is a punishable offence."

"All concerned are requested to refrain from transferring Waqf property," the message reads.
