DHAKA, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 37 people in separate special operations conducted by Jatrabari and Gulshan police stations in the capital on Saturday, targeting individuals involved in various criminal activities.

According to a DMP press release issued on Sunday, Jatrabari Police arrested 23 people during raids in crime-prone areas under the police station's jurisdiction.

In a separate operation, Gulshan Police arrested 14 people from different crime-prone areas within its jurisdiction.

The detainees include suspects wanted in pending cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various offences.

Police said the drives were part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and maintain law and order across the capital.

All the arrestees have been produced before the competent court for further legal proceedings.
