DHAKA, July 31, 2026 (BSS) – Amid tight security, the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today carried out an eviction drive at the East Kazipara Bus Stand area against illegal encroachments.

“The DNCC conducted the eviction campaign through mobile courts against illegal encroachments at Kazipara Bus Stand area amid tight security by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP),” said DMP’s media and public relations division spokesperson.

According to a DMP media release, the drive was carried out at around 11:30 am on Thursday and removed tin-sheet fences, set up illegally on roads.

Regional Executive Officer of DNCC Zone-4 Marufa Begum Neli supervised the operation.

During the mobile court proceedings, two platoons of uniformed police personnel from the Public Order Management (POM) were deployed to maintain law and order and ensure security throughout the operation.

The law and order situation in the area remained normal and peaceful during the drive, the release said.
