RAJSHAHI, July 31, 2026 (BSS)- A long-standing and important problem at T-Badh, the popular tourist spot on the bank of the Padma River in Rajshahi, is finally going to be solved.

The long-standing suffering to end through the initiative of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and its new facility likely to bring relief for women, children and tourists

The construction work of a modern public toilet and washroom complex built at the initiative of RCC is almost in its final stage. It will be opened forpublic in a short time.

Thousands of people visit T-Badh every day from morning till evening with their families and friends.

However, due to the lack of adequate and clean public toilets, especiallywomen, children, the elderly and persons with special needs had to face extreme suffering. Visitors had been complaining about this issue on various occasions.

In this situation, construction work was expedited under the direction of RCCAdministrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton. The complex that has been built has astrong brick-concrete structure, a concrete roof, a collapsible gate and stairs for safe access. Currently, finishing work is underway.

According to city dwellers, this is not just a toilet; but rather a basic civic facility for tourists. Once a clean and safe washroom is launched, along with women, children and the elderly, persons with special needs will also be able to spend time at T-Bandh comfortably.

According to RCC sources, this complex at T-Badh has been built as part of a continuous initiative to build people-friendly and women-friendly public toilets at various important places in the city.

However, according to concerned people, along with constructing the building, it is essential to ensure regular cleanliness, supply of pure water, adequate lighting and security after it is opened.

At the same time, visitors also have to play a role in preserving the facility through responsible behavior.

Once the modern toilet and washroom is launched at T-Badh, it will not only reduce the suffering of tourists, but will also be considered an important addition to improving Rajshahi's tourism infrastructure and the quality of civic services.
