DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) - Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said the spirit of the July movement was to build a discrimination-free and justice-based Bangladesh.
He made the remarks as the chief guest at a discussion with the families of those killed and those injured during the July Mass Uprising.
Dhaka North and Dhaka South units of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami jointly organized the discussion at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in the capital.
Shafiqur, also Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, said his party has fully supported that vision and has maintained an uncompromising stance from the outset of the July movement until now.
