DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 66 people in separate special operations conducted by Mirpur Model and Paltan Model police stations as part of its ongoing drive against crime in the capital on Wednesday and Thursday.

Mirpur Model Police arrested 36 individuals during a special operation in crime-prone areas on Wednesday, according to a DMP press release. 

The arrestees include suspects in regular and warrant-related cases, as well as individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Meanwhile, Paltan Model Police arrested 30 individuals in a special operation conducted in different crime-prone areas today. 
According to police, they were detained under the provisions of the DMP Ordinance.

All the arrested persons have been produced before the concerned court for legal proceedings.
