DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) - Police on Wednesday arrested 25 people in separate special drives conducted by Hazaribagh and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police stations under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), targeting crime-prone areas in the capital.

According to Hazaribagh Police, a special operation carried out on Wednesday in different crime-prone areas of the police station arrested 15 people for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

Meanwhile, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police conducted a similar drive on the same day and arrested 10 people from different crime-prone areas under its jurisdiction.

Police said those arrested include accused in regular and warrant cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various offences.

All the arrested persons have been produced before the competent court, police added.
