DHAKA, July 30, 2026 (BSS)- Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested former minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui from his Gulshan residence in the capital this evening. 

DMP additional commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam said, Latif Siddiqui was arrested at 6pm today upon a warrant in a case at International Crimes Tribunal.  

The case was filed in connection with the killings at Shapla Chattar in Motijheel mass rally of the Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh on May 5 in 2013.
