DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - Attorney General Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazol
today urged journalists to exercise caution to avoid creating confusion while
reporting on court-related matters.

"I think each of you who reports on court-related matters has developed
expertise. You practice a great deal of self-restraint. You understand what
should and should not be made public," he said while meeting members of the
Law Reporters Forum (LRF), as the forum's newly-elected committee paid a
courtesy call on the Attorney General.

Referring to a request to allow journalists to remain present in the
Appellate Division to cover its proceedings, the Attorney General said he had
already requested the Chief Justice in this regard and would raise the matter
with him again.

Led by LRF President Mohammad Yasin and General Secretary Arafat Munna, the
delegation also included Vice-President Abu Saleh Roni, Joint Secretary
Tanvir Ahmed, Treasurer Manjur Hossain, Organising Secretary Ahmed Al Amin,
Office Secretary Mahmudul Alam, Publication Secretary Jahidul Bashar and
members Ilias Sarkar and SM Nur Mohammad.
