DHAKA, July 29, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 17 people allegedly involved in different criminal activities during a special drive conducted in the capital's Jatrabari area.

According to a press release, the operation was carried out by Jatrabari Police Station on Tuesday as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area.

Those detained include suspects wanted in regular criminal cases as well as individuals allegedly involved in various offences.

Legal proceedings against the arrestees are underway.

Police said such special drives will continue to ensure public safety and maintain law and order situation across the city.
