DHAKA, July 28, 2026 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon today expressed deep shock at the death of renowned television personality and former Director General of Bangladesh Television (BTV) Mostafizur Rahman.

In a condolence message issued today, the minister said the death of Mostafizur Rahman, the creator of popular television dramas such as "Sokal Shondha" and "Eishob Dinratri", is an irreparable loss to the country's cultural arena.

The Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Former Bangladesh Television Director General Mostafizur Rahman breathed his last on Sunday afternoon.
