DHAKA, July 28, 2026 (BSS) - The government has promoted additional secretaries Abu Sayeed Md Kamruzzaman and Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan to the rank of secretary.

The Public Administration Ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard today.
 
According to one notification, additional secretary (acting secretary) of Information and Communication Technology Division Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to the same division as secretary.

Another notification said that executive director (additional secretary) of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) Abu Sayeed Md Kamruzzaman has been promoted to the post of secretary and posted as chief executive officer of Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA).

The notifications said the promotion orders published in public interest will come to effect immediately.
