DHAKA, July 27, 2026 (BSS) - The government has appointed Umme Marufa as First Secretary (Press) in the Press Wing of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, India.

In this regard, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification today.

Marufa has been appointed for one year from the date of joining, subject to the condition that she relinquishes any other profession, business, or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, or private institution or organization, according to the notification.
